The Washington Football Team Cheerleaders Alumni Association (WFTCAA), originally named The Redskinette Alumnae Association (RAA) and the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders Alumni Association (WRCAA), was founded in 1984, by former Redskinette and current WFTCAA Chairperson and President, Terri Crane-Lamb. Once approved by the team owner, John Kent Cooke, an RAA committee was formed to help establish the FIRST professional cheerleaders alumni organization in the NFL.
The WFTCAA's current membership totals over 800 women living throughout the United States and Japan. Since its inception, the WFTCAA has actively participated in local and national charity events held in the metropolitan (DC, Maryland and Virginia) area and provides a way for former Washington cheerleaders to maintain the friendships that they established while members of the Washington Football Team organization.
